Ultimate Blog Party!

***After getting the idea from another blogger, I've dated this post for next Friday, so it'll stay at the top of the blog for this entire week.***

Ultimate Blog Party 2008

Well, after seeing this on a couple of other blogs, I finally had to go check it out....and, it looks too fun to pass by! This is a great way to meet other happy bloggers and also a way to win numerous great prizes! I encourage you to click and check out their site, because this is TOO FUN!!

A little about me--I am a SAHM to a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. It's been my lifelong goal to be a wife and mother. Before motherhood, I taught 2nd grade for 8 years. Now, my creative outlet is making custom boutique clothing for (mostly) girls and (some) boys. My blog is a place where I share about my life, my family's life, and my designs for family, friends, and customers. Thanks for stopping by!

BUT WAIT!!! Don't leave just yet! In the party spirit, I am going to do a give-away! All you have to do is leave a comment in the comments section of this post. Let me know you stopped by, and IF you are a custom boutique buyer (or may become one), let me know what you'd like to see created--fabrics you'd like used, styles you'd like to see, separates options, etc.....I want to know!

The WINNER will be chosen using a random number generator Saturday, March 15th. All comments received before 12:01 a.m. CST on the 15th will be eligible! THE PRIZE will be a custom boutique item of your choice! An outfit, a bag, burp cloths....I'm also open to suggestions that fall within reasonable boundaries (money and time)! Here are some pictures of items I have made that would fall into "reasonable boundaries."

And, OH MY, the prizes! There are so many prizes to be won (as a blogger OR as a blog reader)! My favorites (in order) are:

1. 110-3 Autographed "My Name is Not Isabella" books from Jennifer.

2. 103- Pink Brick Box Play Set from LEGO.

3. 142-Ballerina Barrette Hairclip Holder from Nissa's Niceties.

4. 119-Personalized Lunchbox from Girl, That's Cute.

5. 128- Yoga for Christians from Kathleen Marie.

6. 126-6 Designer Garage Sale Signs from Sassy Signs.

7. 113-Arbonne Pampering Basket from The Truest Thing

AND, I'd also love any of these 117, 76, 39, 60, 55!!

I love the bag/purse idea! With so many boys in the house I like to have feminine things for myself sometimes!

As far as your question about being or becoming a boutique shopper . . . they typically offer products for babies, women or girls and since I have 6 grubby little boys I have to be very functional and practical! However, if I had a girl (have to wait for grandbabies on that one though) I would definitely consider it!

Blessings,
Shera

Adorable clothes! I enjoy sewing for my little girl, also, but I'm still learning. I think I love it so much because I can actually complete a project and see the end results - other things in my day I just pick up again the next, caring for kids, cleaning, you know. I LOVE Amy Butler fabric! And I've been wanting to make something with Alexander Henry's light blue estee fabric - do you know that one? Stop by my party, too!

I have not been a custom boutique buyer, but may become one soon, as my daughter is a fussy dresser. I love lots of pieces that can be mixed and matched, because then I can allow her to dress herself knowing she will still look good. Especially layer-able pieces like jumpers, skirts, leggings, etc. We love bright colors and patterns--hot pink, lime green, orange, yellow...

Anonymous said...

I may become one. I love that bag.

Love your clothes! They are super cute!! I'm not currently a custom boutique buyer, but plan on being one in the future. My favorite color combos for my daughter are pink/green & pink/brown.

I am just gaga over that outfit in the third photo down!! Oh my. I checked out your shops, too, and you have some really wonderful things. I can't say I'd want you to do anything differently! Personally, I am less into the ruffly pants, appliqués, etc(and by less, I mean I still admire them, but am not likely to spend the money on them), and more into the lots of layered skirts and dresses look. Either way, I am all about beautiful fabrics, and you certainly utilize them :)

I just discovered a resell of one of your items on ebay by accident, and fell in love with the oriental flavor of it!
I am not currently a custom boutique clothing shopper for my youngest princess (just turned 1). I have bought quite a few custom boutique accessories, though... like bows, diapering items, bibs, ect.
I love outfits with asian design in mind. The one I discovered had a crossover top, a floral twirl skirt with a petticoat, and the obi/sash. Pink and brown is my favorite color combination. I'm really into pettiskirts, as well.

I am a boutique buyer, but since my little girls are out of the toddler sizes, it's much harder to find new outfits and dresses for them :( So now I mainly shop for myself :D Things I am interested in are Asian-inspired designs and fabrics. For my girls, kimono-style dresses and tops would be perfect. Myself, I'm looking for a large custom tote or messenger bag in an asian print. You have a great talent, thanks again!
