Ahhhh, The Relaxing Days of Summer

Yeah, RIGHT!! We are so busy around here--it's unbelievable! The King and I actually sat down and made a LIST of all the things we have to do over the next three days, because we were concerned we'd forget something. The good news is that we are all healthy, and we are busy with good things!

Work has kept me busy this week, and my work list continues to grow (which is a good thing, of course). First, Isabella modeled this adorable set from LyndsayLeila. You can find it HERE.

I just listed this Queen of the School set, perfect for the first day of school (or preschool). You can find it HERE.

I also have another Back to School set planned, that will probably get listed on Monday.

The Princess has been going to Princess Dance Camp this week. Each day they are a different Disney Princess in class. Tomorrow (the last day), a "real" Princess will be coming to visit them in their class. She really enjoys it, and not only has she improved with her dancing, but her coordination and overall social confidence has grown.

The Prince is truly enjoying Summertime and all the outside activities! His favorites are swimming (in our small soft pool) and playing baseball with Daddy when he gets home from work.

Fresh Squeezed!

Did you ever have a lemonade stand when you were growing up? I know I did--many, in fact. This fun and bright dress was inspired by the lemonade stand that many a child has tried to make a success! You can find it HERE!!

Happy Father's Day!

The King had a great Father's Day spending time with the kids. We got up and opened the presents they picked out for him. Then we went and ate a pancake breakfast. He took The Prince fishing, while the girls went grocery shopping. They caught FIVE fish and The Prince was thrilled. Then we spent some time at home

and took a nap.

Out for a pizza and ice cream dinner, and the day was done!

Over The Rainbow

Just listed today! This set is, by far, my most detailed and labor intensive set. However, I think the results justified the means. I only have a limited amount of this fun imported Japanese fabric, so will only be offering it this one time. You can find the listing HERE!

What's Up?

Oh, a little of this and a little of that (that being the 2 kiddos around here). Summer is here and, let's just say that the kids are still going through the "adjustment period" of spending ALL day, EVERY day together, once again. I have been trying my best to keep them occupied and entertained (without using the TV all day), in addition to keeping up with my sewing. We run errands, we've been going to the chiropractor 3 times a week (almost finished, WooHoo!), and then we've done our "School" activities. We've been to the library, I've picked up a few crafts for them, we have physical education in the pool, and last week, we learned about 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 when we baked chocolate chip cookies. They are only (almost) 4 and 5, but The Princess can tell you how many halves it takes to make 1 and The Prince can tell you how many halves, or thirds, or fourths it takes, so the lesson was a success. Plus, they had a blast!

The Princess has entered what I like to call the "I'm Going To Test You" phase. Mind you, it is really a drop in the bucket compared to when The Prince went through his own version of this phase, but still! I'd really like to walk in her room one morning and NOT have it look like this:

Especially since it doesn't look like that when she goes to bed. Truth be told, she's already improved (due to some kindly worded threats, of course), but this girl would change her clothes 10 times a day if I let her. She sneaks in at least 3 changes as it is--for no other reason than her own whim. The King says she is of my own making--what does that mean? Just because I like to dress her up and because I buy her all of these fun, frilly, frou-frou dress up clothes??? Nahhhhhh.

ONE TIME ONLY!

This fun set was supposed to be a OOAK offering. However, once we got the set on and wore it for a little bit, I decided keeping it was worth the work to make another set. These are the colors I like the Princess in best! So, I'll be offering it ONE TIME ONLY! The patchwork capris are made from a collection 10 Lilly Pulitzer prints. You can find the listing HERE!

Summer School

Today we started our "Summer School at Home." The kids took the whole thing very seriously--to the point that I was "Teacher." We did a few learning/coloring sheets and read a little. Then it was craft time. For $6, I bought them each a craft project at Big Lots. They sat and worked on these for a good 20-30 minutes.

Tomorrow, Summer School includes a trip to the Library and Physical Education in the pool!

New for Me!

After researching, driving, and deliberating, we found THE car! It's exactly what we were looking for and it was a GREAT deal! I'm so excited that I now have room to haul around 5-6 kids. With a new little niece on the way, it'll be nice to be able to pick up Erin's kids and give her a much needed break! The kids love that it has a DVD player (OK, so I love that part, too). The King loves that it has all kinds of gadgets, including a navigation system and a video that pops up when you put it in reverse, so you can see what's behind you.

On another note, our other car is still sitting at the shop. NOTHING has been done by the other driver's insurance despite repeated efforts on our part. We've decided it's time to get tough. I'll let you know what happens!
